MAXIM NAZAROV - CITY OF ANGELS

"City of Angels" - это мини альбом из музыки и песен записанных Максимом Назаровым в Нью-Йорке в конце 2017/начале 2018 года. Альбом был сделан с ограниченными ресурсами, используя набор инструментов ДАДА, таких как найденные материалы, моментальные идеи и самогенерирующий контент. Альбом является экзистенциальным рубежом и отмечает завершение цикла в жизни Максима - он жил и учился в Нью-Йорке с 1996 года, куда его привезли родители в тринадцатилетнем возрасте. За это время город морально истощил себя и все что казалось вдохновляющим и подлинным оказалось фальшивым, бессмысленным и намеренно деструктивным. Песни "City of Angels" и "Purple Hair" рассказывают об извращенном влиянии Голливуда и Американской поп-культуры на спящие массы, также затрагиваются темы как мизантропия, просвещение и опасные идеи которые можно найти в интернете. Во время работы над альбомом Максим слушал музыку Джона Мауса и Бойда Райса и группы Foetus, Suicide и Cabaret Voltaire, а также вдохновлялся идеями Роберта Антона Уилсона, Малколма Макларена и The KLF. В данный момент Максим проживает в городе Москва - он является основателем и креативным директором звукозаписывающей компании AVEC и пишет музыку и тексты для проектов ЛАВА, Старость, NYNEX и Зверобой.

“City of Angels” is a mini-collection of music and songs written and recorded by Maxim Nazarov, mostly in NYC and finished in Moscow at the end of 2017/beginning of 2018. It was made with limited resources, using the DADA toolkit of found footagе, instant ideas and self-generating content. It marks the end of an existential cycle for Maxim, he has lived in NYC since 1996, where his parents brought him at a tender age of thirteen. The city has morally exhausted itself and everything that seemed inspiring and authentic at some point in the past, turned out be false and commodified with no meaning underneath. Songs on the EP are about the evil and perverse influence of Hollywood and American pop culture on sleeping masses, misanthropy, social justice, enlightenment and unpopular ideas one can find in the deep dark corners of the Internet. While working on “City of Angels” Maxim has has been listening to the music of John Maus, Foetus, Suicide, Cabaret Voltaire and Boyd Rice, and thoroughly consumed ideas of Robert Anton Wilson, Malcolm McLaren, The KLF and others. Currently Maxim lives in Moscow, Russia - he is the creative director of AVEC and produces music and writes lyrics for projects such as LAVA, Starost, NYNEX & Zveroboy.
